Product Applications
In electroplating processes:
1. Used as an acidic copper plating brightener, it significantly enhances the brightness and leveling of the coating, resulting in a copper layer that is highly bright, smooth, and exhibits good ductility.
2. As an auxiliary agent used in combination with other additives, it enhances the corrosion resistance of the copper surface and contributes to the formation of a fine-grained, uniform copper deposit, thereby improving the conductivity and corrosion resistance of circuit boards.

It is often used in combination with polyether carriers (PEG, PPG), SPS, and other additives to improve the ductility and brightness of the coating. SPS is more beneficial for increasing tensile strength, while MPS is more effective in improving elongation.

Containing highly reactive mercapto and sulfonic acid groups, MPS can be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of sulfur-containing organic compounds.
